Specialist Physiotherapist

Hello, I'm Arielle Griffin

Arielle is a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and qualified Pilates Instructor originally from New Zealand. She graduated from Auckland University of Technology in 2016 and began her career working in private practice alongside a specialist Pilates studio, where she trained as a fully qualified mat and reformer Pilates instructor.

Following her move to London in 2018, Arielle spent five years working within the NHS, predominantly at University College Hospital in the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Department. During this time, she gained extensive experience treating a wide range of orthopaedic, neurological and rheumatological conditions, working closely with patients across all stages of their rehabilitation journey.

Arielle has a particular passion for orthopaedic and sports injury rehabilitation, especially following surgery. She has extensive experience managing patients following ACL reconstructions, meniscal repairs, shoulder stabilisations and rotator cuff repairs, as well as supporting individuals recovering from hip, knee and shoulder replacements. She enjoys helping patients regain confidence in movement and return to the activities and sports that matter most to them.

Having been a keen runner for many years, Arielle has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics and running-related injuries. She has a strong understanding of foot, ankle and knee mechanics and frequently treats overuse injuries such as tendinopathies and bone stress injuries. Her own experiences with long-distance running and netball injuries initially inspired her to pursue a career in physiotherapy.

Alongside her musculoskeletal expertise, Arielle has a growing interest in pregnancy-related musculoskeletal conditions and supporting women to remain active and comfortable throughout pregnancy. She enjoys treating common pregnancy complaints including pelvic girdle pain, low back pain and postural aches and pains, and combines her physiotherapy and Pilates knowledge to help women maintain strength, mobility and confidence during this important stage of life. Arielle is also qualified to deliver pregnancy Pilates, adapting exercises safely and effectively to meet the changing demands of each trimester.

Arielle strongly believes that exercise and strength training form the foundation of successful rehabilitation. Her treatment approach combines evidence-based exercise therapy with hands-on treatment where appropriate, including soft tissue therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilisation, dry needling and education. She is passionate about empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to take an active role in their recovery and long-term health.

Known for her warm, approachable and supportive manner, Arielle enjoys building strong therapeutic relationships and tailoring treatment plans to the individual goals of each patient.

Outside of work, Arielle enjoys running, tennis, hiking and spending time socialising with friends and family.
